The Better Way
Experience In Depth Learning
We all love to go to the Movie Theatres. Do you know that the nature plays movies for each one of us in the biggest theatre called SKY? Many scientists believe that "the best way to learn astronomy is PLANETARIUM shows" because it gives the true picture of sky. The night sky is filled with interesting characters every day called the heavenly bodies. As the night advances, new characters rise from the east while others set in the west. These characters are Stars (Rigel, Mintaka, etc), Constellations (Cassiopeia the Queen, Orion the Hunter, etc), Moon, Galaxies (Andromeda, etc), Nebulae (Crab Nebula, etc) and Stars Clusters (Bee Hive Cluster, etc). In guest appearances, we have Planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, etc), Comets and Meteors (Shooting Stars) and the most interesting fact is that the show changes a little every day!!! In six months, it is altogether a different movie. There is one star more famous than any other movie star, which is the Pole Star. The movie also has many thrills and actions like Lunar Eclipse and Meteor Showers.
With the names like Rakesh Sharma, Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams and Moon mission "Chandrayaan 1", India has entered the space age and the hunt for Indian astronauts has begun. The objective of the Planetarium is to motivate the students to pursue space science as a hobby or career.
What is Planetarium?
A Planetarium is a sky theatre built primarily for presenting educational and entertaining shows about astronomy and the night sky, or for training in celestial navigation. A dominant feature of most planetariums is the large dome-shaped projection screen onto which the scenes of stars, planets and other celestial objects can be made to appear and move realistically to simulate the complex 'motions of the heavens'. Planetarium systems of small fixed domes and portable (mobile) inflatable domes called "DIGIDOME" which are suitable for Schools, Colleges, Universities, Science Centres, Science Museums, Townships, Malls, Fun Parks, etc. They are perfect tools of edutainment to the students.
Benefits of Planetarium
